Autobiography

My name is Katie and I am the oldest of Hank and Vera's three kids. For about ten years, I shared an apartment with my assortment of furry babies - a dog named Barkley, and two cats, Nicholas and Daphne. Nicholas made it until April 2003 before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Many tears were shed and much heartache endured, and then baby Darcie came along to share our lives. She's a ray of sunshine that cannot be extinguished abd brings me boundless joy. Daphne has another word for it! :)

In October of 2003, we (myself and the furry ones) left our cozy apartment and moved to Amelia, OH. I now happily share a home with not only my furry babies, but also the love of my life - TOM. It sounds so "Jerry Maquire-ish", but he completes me and makes me happier than I ever thought I could be. One other furry baby lives with us, Tom's kitty Machka.

I make my living - for now, anyway - as a project manager at Provident Bank in Cincinnati. Provident was acquired by National City Bank of Cleveland, OH in February 2004 and we are now on a slow march to shutdown in March of 2005. While I may yet dazzle my new bosses and stay on with NCB, it looks as if I'll be moving on to a new adventure, whatever that may be.

The rest of my life between Tom and working is mostly spent with my wonderful family (ed.: yeah, we are pretty wonderful, aren't we? ) at various intervals. This includes the all-too-precious time with my five ADORABLE, PRECOCIOUS, CUTE (I could insert more adjectives, but you'd probably stop reading if you haven't already) nieces and nephews. No aunt could be prouder than this one.
